The IDEATE Phase of the branding process (part 2 of 3)

The second phase of a great branding process is the IDEATION phase.

This is the one most of us think we need to hire the experts for.

We don’t feel creative enough. We aren’t “a visual person.”

We aren’t “talented.” We need to leave it to the “artists.”

We are staring at the blank page/screen/canvas/camera and feeling…BLANK.

It feels overwhelming.

It feels like you have to know fancy graphic design programs.

Don’t know where to start….

MOST OF THIS IS NONSENSE…but a very common way to feel.

The truth is: we are all limitlessly creative, despite our feelings. Branding is a set of skills, and we can all learn them. We are already good at many of them, we just don’t know that yet.

And many of the very best ideas come from simple, repeatable, absolutely practical methods, that anyone can learn.

Creativity arrives from ACTION, not waiting for a lightening bolt of inspiration to strike. This phase is all about taking lots of tiny, easy creative actions, and allowing great ideas to surface.
