RULES

  1. New assignments will be posted daily on weekdays between 8am and noon EST. Because I’m home with my kid, finally sleeping in some days, and time is a construct.

  2. In this project, all rules are meant to be broken.

  3. If you find yourself veering towards feeling like this is a self-improvement task, turn it into something so absurd, boring and/or counterproductive that your old patterns of self-improvement immediately vaporize.

  4. Give yourself 10 minutes minimum for each assignment and don’t stop until the timer goes off. Sometimes the things you do AFTER you use up your first ideas are most interesting.

  5. You are allowed to make lots of things that suck. Most artists of all stripes publish a tiny percentage of stuff, from a sea of mediocre crap.

  6. Focus on process, not product. You are here to loosen up your thinking and to play.

  7. When you fall in love with something, post it with the hashtag #domesticinfinite so I can find you and praise you.

  8. Any time you can collaborate with someone on anything, do it.

The images and experiments participants publish under the hashtag #domesticinfinite spring from the wilderness of their imaginations alone, and do not reflect the opinions, decisions, etiquette or value system of the Bureau of Tactical Imagination of Amy Walsh.

That said, please don’t be oppressive to any individual or group! Honor and respect the unique time and place we are in, and the beauty of every human.
