Each day as I walk our neighborhood, I collect the tiny fragments we leave behind. A couple of times per week, I make sculptures from them, document them here, and return them to the neighborhood. Have you seen any around?
Hello neighbors, collaborators and various onlookers, this post marks the beginning of my summer artists' residency in my own life and neighborhood. In these next 2 months I will be making art inside of my most intimate and immediate context: my home, my family, my street, my block, my neighborhood, my community, the weather...what is most immediate. Neighbors, I look forward to the many ways we might connect and collaborate over these next 2 months as the project unfolds. I am proud to be our artist in residence. Will you be the next one?
